His mother, Kallie, frantically called for help after she noticed her son's tractor overturned and Levi nowhere to be found.
Levi was immediately airlifted to Beaver Valley Hospital, where he remained in critical condition until the difficult decision was made to remove him from life support on Sunday. Family friend Mindy Sue Clark shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, stating that the past two weeks had been an unimaginable ordeal.
"Levi showed us just enough to buy us time for all this," Levi's mother wrote in a Facebook post, revealing that the family had hoped for a miracle but realized that it was time to let him go.
In the initial days following the accident, Levi's prognosis was bleak. According to Clark, his brain had been deprived of oxygen for too long, and the family feared the worst. However, he began to show signs of hope last week, briefly opening his eyes and responding to his sister's voice on an EEG. The family had hoped to wean him off his breathing tube pending further improvement.

Spencer Wright, Levi's father, is ranked No. 40 in the world in saddle bronc riding. He made history in 2014 when all four of his brothers qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, where he ultimately won the championship.
