The poll, which surveyed registered voters, found that Trump held a significant lead over President Joe Biden in each of these areas.
According to the poll, 52% of respondents believe that Trump would do a better job handling immigration than Biden, while only 38% expressed confidence in Biden's ability to address the issue. Similarly, 53% of respondents favored Trump's economic policies over Biden's, with only 42% approving of Biden's approach.

Regarding the Second Amendment, 60% of respondents said they believe Trump would better protect their gun rights, compared to 35% who expressed trust in Biden's stance on the issue.
The poll also examined the presidential race overall, and the results were largely consistent with Trump's lead on the individual issues. Trump held a 49% to 43% advantage over Biden in the head-to-head matchup.

Commenting on the poll, Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich noted that Trump's strong performance was driven by his appeal to independent voters. Independent voters preferred Trump over Biden in all three key areas surveyed.
However, it is important to note that the poll was conducted before the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. It is unclear how this decision might impact the presidential race or the issues that voters prioritize.

Polling expert Nate Silver, who formerly ran the polling analysis website FiveThirtyEight, provided additional insights into the poll results. Silver noted that Trump's lead is significant, but not insurmountable, and that Biden still has time to turn things around.
Silver also suggested that Biden consider giving the nomination to Vice President Kamala Harris or another candidate at the Democratic convention. However, he cautioned that such a move could be risky.
Despite Trump's lead, Silver emphasized that the race is not a toss-up. He argued that Biden is facing an uphill battle, especially if the popular vote and Electoral College margins are similar to those of 2016 or 2020.
The Fox News poll surveyed 1,003 registered voters nationwide between June 16-19, 2022. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.
