In a swift operation, Hillsborough County deputies and Tampa Police officers apprehended two men allegedly involved in an armed robbery using a tracked stolen cellphone as a lead. Jamel Hernandez, 21, and Kareem Hernandez, 23, now face charges of armed robbery with a firearm and armed burglary.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Monday, as victims sat in their vehicle on Douglas Oaks Circle in Tampa. The suspects reportedly approached the victims, brandished a firearm, and robbed them of their cellphones before fleeing the scene.

One of the victims, however, was quick to track their stolen iPhone, providing crucial information to the authorities. The location of the suspects' vehicle was thus determined, enabling deputies and police to swiftly surround it.
Aerial footage captured the scene as police vehicles enclosed the suspects' vehicle, while a body camera video documented the aftermath. The occupants were ordered out of the vehicle, hands raised, and subsequently handcuffed.
