James Copenhaver, 74, and David Dutch, 57, were both shot twice during the rally, leaving them with lasting physical and emotional trauma.
Attorney Joseph Feldman, representing Copenhaver and Dutch, expressed his determination to uncover the truth and ensure responsibility is established. "We're going to get to the bottom of this," Feldman told Fox News Digital. "We'll definitely get answers through that process."

Both victims have voiced concerns about how 20-year-old gunman Thomas Crooks was able to evade security and access the roof of the nearby American Glass Research building, enabling him to shoot at Trump from afar. "We're the United States of America," Feldman emphasized. "We pump tons of money into security resources, especially dealing with the federal government. And you go to a rally to provide political support for a politician, and the security is provided by the federal government, and it fails."
Copenhaver and Dutch also question why Crooks was able to park his vehicle and fly a drone near the rally site, without detection. Feldman, who served in the U.S. Army and has experience with security measures, expressed astonishment. "How is the airspace not shut down? Or why did the federal government not have their own drones up there to monitor the scene," he wondered.

The House task force investigating the attempt is seeking information from tipsters and whistleblowers to determine how Crooks managed to climb onto the AGR building and remain undetected until 6:11 p.m., when he opened fire. The FBI has confirmed that Crooks entered the fairgrounds armed with a DPMS AR-15-style gun and 50 rounds of ammunition, legally purchased by his father and transferred to him.
Rally attendees have reported spotting a person on the AGR roof prior to the shooting, and a video obtained by Fox News Digital from Copenhaver's perspective appears to show a figure resembling Crooks walking across the roof just minutes before the gunfire erupted. "How do you get on a roof in an open field with people yelling that somebody's getting on a roof, with snipers … adjacent to them, and you don't see him until he pops off his first round?" Feldman questioned.
