She believes that Walz's leadership has strayed from moderate principles and made Minnesota one of the most progressive states in the country.
Carlson specifically highlighted Walz's stance on abortion, which she labeled as "extreme." She pointed to legislation that allows abortion up to birth with no limitations, repeals protective measures for women seeking abortions, and denies life-saving care to babies born alive after surviving an abortion.

"We're talking about an administration that thinks it's okay to let preborn children who survive an abortion die on a cold metal table," Carlson said. "Cattle and reptiles in Minnesota now have more rights than Minnesota's women and preborn children when it comes to abortion."
On the issue of religious freedom, Carlson criticized the Walz administration for removing an exemption in the Minnesota Human Rights Act that protected religious organizations from discrimination based on gender identity. She described this move as a "brazen attack" on First Amendment rights.

"These are brazen policies. They are not moderate," Carlson added.
Regarding gender ideology, Carlson observed that Minnesota has become one of the most progressive states in terms of gender policies, prioritizing gender ideology over religious beliefs.

"Essentially, their policies reflect a sentiment that they would like gender ideology to be the superseding category," she said.
Carlson emphasized that Walz's administration has not been moderate in its approach. "They've passed some of the most extreme progressive policies," she said. "Their state agencies have enforced some of the most extreme progressive laws, and that is disappointing."
